english student

Drunk.

Like fibres in a heart

we hold together fragile life

with strings we are not sure

will hold true under tension.

How can we know

until one fails?

Yet with friends

we trust the arms that hold us,

because I’m seeing opaque views

through transparent windows,

and I need a hand to keep me

still.

I must trust, unwavering and headstrong

that this heart will not

give out.

It may be faith

but it is the glue which keeps us loving.

Drunk,

because faith in fibre is all I need

right now.

English student; exactly how

I’m expected to be.
